Phew, a 3 day 2 night stay at Pasir Ris is finally over! Current situation: Losing a battle against the Z monster.. It was fun, but shorter than i expected it to be.. Maybe coz the 1st day was a sunday, and we didnt do anything over at Ehub for the whole noon except to settle down in the chalet...

Good News: I am a Nebo member! Can watch movies cheaper at cathay, cheaper bowling rates, and more fun at the arcade! Hahaz, its crazy to sign up for it when i am alrd broke and dun hav much money to spare, but who cares? I did help save up on quite an amt alrd...

Bad News: Although pics are uploaded onto facebook, almost all the pics taken on the 1st day are deleted! Bad accident, plus there was no way to recover... Darn sad la, such a small stupid human error of pressing a button.... Nvm, i made sure i trained my fingers to press properly at the jubeat arcade game thingy le... =P

Tml is NYE le, time to countdown.. Time to earn some cash.. Time to start a new chpt...

Feels like forever since i last updated sia, since its always more convenient to juz post photos up on facebook and forget abt it totally... Anyway, i juz woke up after concussing for around 15 hours, only interrupted in the middle by a phone call frm kaiqi... Was too crazy a christmas to endure for so long.. =P

Well, caroling this year was fun.. Felt that i did not sing as much as last year (isit?), but it was still fun, getting lost in Pasir Ris (which is the least fun part), and all the diff stops that we went to.. Got alot of interesting places this time round, such as a child care and a pet shop! I mean, this is a first time i sang to a dog, but ya, u get the point...

Then it was overnight movies in church all the way sia... Although i alrd watched both movies b4, no harm watching it over again... I mean, who sleeps during christmas eve? Then there was the globe game, muz hit the globe somewhere other than yourself... basically is juz passing the ball arnd la, but it turned out so fun for those not-enough-slp pple that we played for nearly an hr b4 deciding that its time to change game....

Ok, fast forward to later in the morning... Kinda felt crazy, so went with sam, chengxin, nick, moses, liyun, hanen and jinghui to watch australia... Not a wonderful movie, but not that bad either... Only problem is i keep on falling in and out of conciousness... After movie, a few of the pple pang seh us, and we pang seh pple also, so in the end 4 guys went to eat a delicious lunch after deciding that its too darn sad to go home slp during christmas... Well, all i can say was its gd that we had a full lunch that lasted all the way till 4... Coz after i went home, i knock out at 5 all the way until this morning arnd 8 lidat... Shiok sia, nv slp until so satisfied for a long time le...

I had enough... Christmas is supposed to be fun, not so stressful till its choking.. Can't wait till tml is over...

Ahh, Survivor 2 has finished on saturday.. But i only had time to type today, too busy recently... Guess i enjoyed myself too much during that few hours at Ubin that day.. Total count of mosquito bites: 48... Yes, i was so bored i counted... Logistic was damn tiring la, wat to do... Spent the whole night preparing stuff for the day itself, and b4 u know, it already started le...

I was so proud of accomplishing the task given to kia heng and me to finish preparing the log stuff thru the night, and ya, we did it! So fun la, more fun than i expected it to be (the 2 man preparing log stuff phase i mean..).

Anyway, i didnt get to take alot of photos despite bringing my camera.. Was busy riding around and falling into mud pools.. Those who were with me will know, its not fun at all... But ya, it was an amazing experience thru and thru... Throughout this who preparation phase as well as the actual day itself, i really felt that God was with us, supporting us all the way.. Those small miracles that He done during the prep phase, as well as holding up the rain during the actual day, it has been too wonderful... Lolz, can't wait for Survivor 3.. Wonder where we will go nxt...

Survivor Agape will be commencing in abt 2 hrs time, and i haven slept a wink.. Darn, this is totally crazy, and why am i enjoying this? Hahaz, i at samuel's hse using his laptop to type this post, and he's sound asleep.. Partially coz he had been up until 1-2am? Anyway, i am doing this coz yingdan said to go her hse 10min later, so i need to waste some time.. And thomas didnt respond to my morning call.. Hahaz, this is crazy... Hahaz, juz suddenly thought of an emo song, dun ask why, coz i also hav no answer to it.. Its day 3 of slacking non-stop, and i dunno why, in the end i still didnt slack all the way... Went to walk around and look up some things that i hav been trying to find time to do, and i practically walked one HUGE round... First stop, i went to PS! Actually went all the way there to buy some ankle socks, coz i realised that most of my ankle socks have more than a hole in them! And to make things worse, most refers to one side no hole, the other side got hole! Crazy, also dunno how i wear socks one.. Back to the story, i went to PS and bought myself 3 pairs of BUM ankle socks! Yes , thats BUM BUM BUM! And no choice one, they come in threes, and in the 3, there must be one corny looking coloured sock, so after much debate, this was my decision..

Cool socks right? Ok, the last one is a black one, so its invisible under the shadow.. But from wat u can see, u shld be able to guess which one was the corny socks i was talking abt... I believe your observation skills are working...

Moving on, after stopping at yamaha and kino, its back to the mrt and off i went to chinatown! Hahaz, i know strange place to go... I went to check out on some dessert shop that i went to with some army frens.. Went to hav a snack as well as to mark out the spot, so that i know where to go next time if i am hungry in chinatown... =P

After that, its back to the mrt, and to bugis! Went to bras basah to check out the guitars and bass, and most imptly the bass effects! Hahaz, kinda wanted to do that for too long, so at least i know how much i need to save b4 having enough to buy one... Also asked around to check the price of repairing that church bass that always seems to hav a problem somewhere.. That was the last stop b4 i went home...

Oh ya, and i totally 4got to go to visit shimu at 5:30pm after the op, as wat jasper has said... Guess y? Simple, the msg wrote for us to meet at blk 5 level 1.. And when i asked jasper how to get there, he told me to go blk 1 to find directions to go there... Fair enough, maybe coz my qn was not properlly phrased? Qn is: Which hospital?? =P

Hahaz, so in the end i juz went home and ya, end of day!

Was so proud of myself today, i actually fought the urge to watch that chihuahua movie and succeeded! So that means i spent $6.50 less today! Wateva....

Ahh, wat a day... Juz finished my last exercise b4 i graduate from the Academy of Running Marching and Yawning (A.R.M.Y).. Ok, i dun really know wat i am typing, coz i hav been surviving on coffee and tea since 5am yesterday.. That equates to not enough sleep? Something like that la... Somewhere near 30 hours without a deep sleep, ignore those occasional, accidental, and phenomenal K.O.s where u can juz concuss on the steps of stairs, or u can think that the conversation that u had with some guy a few seconds ago was a dream..

Conclusion: Caffeine and adrenaline dun work well together.. I end up getting so high at 3am in the morning while doing some work, the rest of the guys think i am crazy.. Even i think i am a little mad... Well, no wonder, coz this is the first day i shouted the famous sentence out during book out.. "Oh Are Thee Low!"

A 100 days seperate the 3rd of november from the 11th of february.. And now it is already the 7th... 96 days more to go... Current mood: wonderful! who isn't happy when going thru C.C.C.?

Super tired now, had been busy all week... All those NS reservice guys are so 'helpful', they totally used their psychic powers and supervision skills to help us complete those tasks day by day... Even thou i am supposed to be relaxing, but in the end i was doing the work... wat the hell, i am so going to be a better NS man than those pple during my reservice...

Y i complain? Coz i spent half of the week spending $0... Usually people will be happy coz they can save up the cash to spend on smth else... But guess wat, my money was stolen... Started (or rather, continued on) with conducting course thru this week, and had live task on wednesday.. For those who hav no idea wats a live task (esp. gals out there), its going out in the open field, jungle, to do dumb stuff... Instead of having to suffer in silence, we guys in army decided to take out some cash each and buy some nice stuff to eat there... Ended up having some major picnic out in the middle of nowhere, how wonderful can life get...

Got a few illness after that, including the ever irritating foot rot.... Its super itchy!!! Juz trying to stop scratching it, coz i heard its better to leave it alone... Wats worse? Well, i hav some dumb growth in my butt, specifically in the ass crack.. After seeing the doctor, he said it was some mutated pimple (cant rmb the actual term), and gave me some antibiotics for it along with a letter of surgery to remove it... Well, sadly, before i get to "enjoy" the surgery thats nxt week, that mutated piece of radioactive nonsense did the most ultimate thing, it broke... Now i know how a gal feels during that period of the month, with the blood oozing out like nobody's business.. Problem? I am after all a guy, and this is new to me ok? So i am juz waiting for that scar to heal, and the blood to stop flowing (which has btw..), so that life can carry on... There has been too much going on, and much more that needs to go on, so i need to be in perfect health.. Oh ya, no pics for u pple who are wishing to see my ass crack, too bad... :P

Was late for worship prac today, how rare is that? Usually i am the 1st to turn up one... But today happen to be cock eye, see 63 as 62, so u can guess wat happened... Took the wrong bus all the way until Ubi without realising (thanks to technologies such as a PSP), so had to alight, take the bus back to the starting point, and then retake the right bus... Late for a whole half hr lor, thats so pathetic... So paiseh somemore, evryone waiting for me, then by the time i get there also sweating like crazy le, still hav to cool down b4 actually being in the right mind to focus on prac... By the way, its seriously nt easy running with a bass ok, try it someday...

Watched Ma Ma Mia! today, and ok la, its a movie that is quite nice... I liked the singing parts, esp the parts where alot of random pple start appearing (like those in indian films), then all sing and dance together... Then there are funny parts here and there la, althou i didnt really quite like the ending, like no conclusion lidat... Definitely still a show that shld be watched... Nt online ok, coz u shldnt support piracy... Get the real deal, its so much better...

Today was cohesion day for Sea Terminal Coy, so a bunch of army guys went down to Siloso Beach, Sentosa, to hav some fun... Definition of fun, play volleyball for hours, while watching bikini babes walking around... Ok la, i admit it was quite fun abt that volleyball part, but the bikini babes were distracting.. Oh ya, nt to forget the wonderful tanning and lazing around session... As wat u can expect frm it, a sunburnt me... I had problems showering, wearing my clothes, even my glasses are hurting my face... Darn, the price to pay for a gd day under the bloody hot sun... Took a few pics using my phone, but the main bulk of the pics in someone else's camera, so will upload the others once i get it..

After the fun and games, we all went to pasta mania to makan and celebrate all september babies bday.. Apparently there are 6 pple who hav their bdays in that month, including me.. So i guess that calls for quite a celebration...

Watched a movie with the few that are left standing strong, the rest of the weaklings are either too tired, or too sleepy to carry on.. Watched Step Brothers, super funny.. But i think the company also matters la... Its quite a vulgar show, but at the end of it all, u juz wanna laugh it off and watch a nice show... And a nice show it was... Well, guess thats the end of my day, b4 the burnt skin starts to peel.... =)

This has been a tiring week.. Body aching all over alrd... Even thou its considered quite a slack 4 days in camp, but the training that was done more than satisfied the daily requirements that is necessary... How bad was it? Well, i hav trouble climbing stairs after training.. I even hav problems walking and standing up without groaning all over... Guess that means i haven been keeping fit for a little too long...

Well, the little lump in my eye is gone alrd, thank God for that.. Otherwise i hav one other thing to complain abt.. Well, i promise nt to put any more scary pics up, althou i dun really think its scary until wat lor...

Hav been playing guitar hero in camp on the com for the past few days, and kinda addicted to this one song, train wreck by noise pollution... I know its nt a typical song that i will like, but i guess i played that song on the dumb game too many times, i cant juz get it out of my head....

Darn... I woke up last morning with a super irritating pain in my left eye.. Its nt those kinda pain whereby like kena cut by a knife or smth.. More of a bugging pain that u cant juz ignore and carry in with life.. Everytime i blink, the pain reminds me of its prescence in my left eye... On closer inspection...

Ya, if u are seeing it as clearly as i can see in the mirror, you will see a pimple in the eye... Yes, that red bump at the top eyelid... Super irritating la!!

Hahaz, fine.. I know i am complainig over nothing, but wat can u expect? Life is boring for quite a while already, and i totally hav nth to blog on, maybe other than the countless movies that i watched... But ya, maybe its time to start work... :P

Hahaz, i realised that off days to me were movie days... Today i watched 3 straight movies la! Ok la, nt all in the cinema, otherwise i wun hav the money liaoz... Watched Love Guru and Meet Dave on the com in the morning and noon respectively... Then went to watch Cyborg She with weiting, simon, liyun, samuel and yiyin at plaza sing... It was a nice show la! Ok, so the story is predictable, the plot is plain, but its these type of simple shows that makes my day.. It was funny, and there were those very sad and emo moments... Then also got the twists that make the whole movie worth watching, nt to mention the female lead is also worth watching... :P

Well, this was a tiring and long weekend... Started off at arnd 4.20pm with a wonderful movie, 12 lotus.. Ok la, i admit that the plot was thick, and at some points of the movie, i dun really understand wat it was trying to say... But all in all, it was a very nice show... Duno how to describe it la, maybe coz its juz me to like these type of movies... But anyway, this show was watched at a price of $10... Its common for others since it was a saturday, and tickets are supposed to be priced that way, but hey, i am a SAFRA card user!!! Y didnt i use my card?!?! Sad la, gave $2 to GV....

Fast forward to AHM run, to make it more precise, is 21km run... Had to water parade until i want to vomit, try to slp early (like 9pm?), and wake up at unearthly hours (3.30am), juz to torture yourself for arnd 3hrs and 21km of the way... Ok la, it was actually nt that bad, i kinda enjoyed the run, even ran into kia heng on the way... Anyway, some pics that i took...

Cannot really see clearly la, coz i was running while taking the pics, but if u can see, the pictures were taken to try to show how many pple are actually running... The queue literally is across the whole expressway, imagine the number of pple running, or the amt of water consumed... But thats nt the point.. The point is that i completed it, and thats all that matters....

Fast forward again, after i finish the run go church.. After church went for movies... Watched the journey to the centre of the earth... Pitied han en, coz she was watching it for the 2nd time, and there was still no 3D effect... Didnt really quite like the movie, althou yixin and jing hui loved it until like duno wat la... Maybe i shld start cutting down on the number of movies i watch, so i know how to appreciate movies better...

Ok, i watched Money No Enough 2 on thurday night with the usual nachos and cheese, but no, i did nt touch any guy's thighs, or even anyone's thighs for that matter.. The movie was so much less humourous than i expected, but with more matters that are closer to the heart.. One of the qn that i asked myself after watching the movie, that bugged me non-stop, until i gave myself a satisfactory answer to it. Wat if u were in a situation whereby both your mother and child needs a rare type of blood, and will die without it, but there is only enough for one of them to live, and u cant donate coz u got liver problems.. Who would u choose? Mother or daughter? After brooding over this for abt 5-10min, i came up with an ultimate solution.. I would keep myself fit, so that i will be able to donate blood to both my family members and still hav enough leftover for myself.. Nt bad rite? Evryone lives, evrybody happy, the end....

Which reminds me... I was involved in a short film (only 3 min)production by a grp of army frens.. Supposed to act on stage during some big event, but end up we make a movie so that it will be more interesting... I acted as some big shot colonel, who was supposed to be the complain kings of the movie... Well, i did my job, but this was nt the reason that i post this... The short clip was really well done, thnx to special effects team (made of 1 guy), camera man (same guy), director (another guy), and the actors involved (3, which makes it 5 pple in total..)... It is super hilarious la, will definitely show it to someone when i get the chance to...

Ok, ladies and gentlemen, i am pleased to announce that i hav juz learnt a new army term! It was like so dumb la, but a few of us juz kinda laughed for arnd 10min over that stupid comment over guard duty...

Maybe its me, coz the Olympics opening ceremony wow-ed me too much, this national day celebrations didnt look so exciting after all... Even the fireworks looked puny... But i guess thats how it is looking at the same stuff year after year after year... The songs change, the people change, but how we celebrate wun change one bit... Maybe there was a little water added here and there, but i cant find anything interesting abt it anymore... Anyway, this post was random, seeing that i haven been typing anything for some time... Nt that nth much is happening, its either nt worth putting it online for others to read, or i totally too lazy to make an effort to think of typing.. But the biggest reason is that i am nt beside my com la ok? 6 more months to go, juz 6 more! WHY SO SERIOUS?

Ok, one interesting riddle for u who is reading this. Wat do u get if u put 3 big, fat guys seating nxt to each other, carrying popcorns, nachos (extra cheese), and soft drinks in a cinema? Answer: AWKWARD... I totally didnt enjoy watching the first 10min of the movie sandwiched between 2 guys rounder than me.. And its alrd hard being as round as me, if u know wat i mean.. So anyway, that guy with nachos and extra cheese is me... And the cinema was dark u know, and i kinda felt arnd for my drink in the dark, and i felt the left sleeve of a trouser leg... It was like ?!?!!!!!!! I was so paiseh la! Firstly, coz i go and touch a guy's thigh, and nxt, i touched arnd it for a while coz i was still looking for my drink.... I felt so dumb can... Luckily, after 10min of watching a movie like 3 sardines packed in a can (if there was ever such a case), the 2 guys at my left and on my right decided that it was getting too awkward and they distanced themselves, so we were all 1 seat apart... Lucky me...

Anyway, i was watching Hellboy 2... And it wasnt as bad as yingdan said it was leh... Some scenes were definitely enjoyable, and i had a few laughs here and there, especially when those 2 freaks of nature decided to sing "Can't smile without you"... But ya, the atmosphere wasnt there today la, maybe coz the cinema was small.. Coz usually when i watch movies alone, i tend to nt mind my being alone... But today it juz felt a little emptier, a little quieter than usual...

Went to Yamaha to buy gig strings to repair my dad's guitar... I hav a good mind to scold him alrd... He like totally nv take care of his guitar la, until a point that the strings that i fixed for him last time (which was ages ago) snapped coz it was too rusty.. Take note, it snapped nt bcoz he was playing it while it was rusty, but it was rusty until a point it was so brittle, and juz broke off.. So i dun see the point of repairing it, but oh well, at least its smth to do...

And its thursday! My gosh, time really flies when u take off days.. I only took them on monday and now is alrd thurs.. And i haven really went out to hav fun.. Nt that i want to, more of the fact that i need the fun, but cant find the cash for it... Might as well, the week is ending soon, and its going to be a busy quarter... I nd more help frm up there then ever b4...

YES! I got a new phone!! Ok, i know its juz a cheap random phone that has nth to boast compared to the high tech gadgets that batman is holding, but at least its like way better than the $10 phone i am holding now... (yes, the Ngage now has a trade in value of $10..) Hahaz, so happy now la! But still, i hav to wait for 7 more months b4 it can be officially used 24/7... In the mean time i still carry a $10 phone in camp...

And i hav no idea wat to do!! Somebody pls plan something fun this week? And include poor me in it... I am like having alot of free time with nothing to do... And it feels stupid... So stupid i actually had the urge to go to the library, and thats so unusual of me ok.. And it doesnt help with the fact that i am running low on cash in the middle of the month with like 2 weeks to go...

Doesnt matter la, i shall juz rot at home as long as no one calls me out, or maybe visit the library as a last resort... As long as i get closer to the 11 of Feb....

Be careful what you wish for... Isn't that a very true statement? A line from Chris Daughtry's song "Home" says it all.. 'Be careful what u wish for, coz u juz might get all'... I'm getting the dream life of almost evry NS man for 2 weeks, and i am hating evry minute of it... I know of pple out there who will enjoy my life now... I mean, whats better than working 1 day, then take the other day off? Plus all i do is drive arnd 20km for arnd 50min, and thats all for the day... For the rest of the time i am trying to keep myself entertained.. Basically, a slack life....

And i know many of u will be wondering, y dun u like a slack life? Tell u the truth, i rather be working and complaining back at my own company line, than be slacking ALL ALONE for the whole day... Darn, i feel like an idiot la... So for those who thinks slack life is gd, this is frm experience, i rather be doing wat i was supposed to do, be back at where i am supposed to be.. Althou it dun sound as nice (stay in, loads of guard duty, conduct course, etc..), but at least i dun hav to suffer the torment of silence alone... So ya, i'm bored.....

2 weeks till this ends, and from there the countdown to the last half a year...

Which means I will nt be sitting on that ferry to the Forsaken Lands anytime soon... I hav been attached to Seletar!! Which means can go eat jalan kayu's famous prata when i book out! Hahaz, and i get to stay out! How gd can God get?

My job scope is basically very simple, work one day, off one day... Which equals to 24hrs of being a "dog" (coz i am juz basically getting ordered arnd evrywhere..), then i go home to take a break.. This cycle will carry on until the end of the month... Only down side abt this... After this coming sunday, i cant serve for 2 weeks.... Coz that work one day rest one day plan is counting in the sats and the suns... If u still dun get it, i wun be free nxt sat and the following sun.... So if u are reading this, can the relevant pple make the relevant arrangements? Like a stand in bassist? Somebody like Dawn might like the job? =P

Anyway, thank God for His arrangements, and wateva He's going to arrange nxt...

Marley and Me has a movie!! I must watch that movie no matter what... The book already so nice le, duno how will the movie be like.. Anyway, maybe coz i juz watched 10 promises to my dog, and its a super nice show also... Ok la, i feel dumb to hav to watch it alone and hear others cry so sadly at the back, but shld be used to it by now la... I mean, how often could u actually find someone to suit the timing of your SAF career.. Answer, someone with a similar SAF career.. =P

Life's super boring, and i juz got news that i am posted to tekong to drive... Like "Yay, i'm going back to tekong, how exciting can that be..." But lets face facts, life is full of ups and downs, and most of the time, pple only take notice abt the downs and nt the ups.. So since i already had my ups, maybe a little low time wun hurt... I may juz get to meet Johan when he goes in on Wed to hav his haircut, and i might juz bump into yuan hui, who i really haven met in like AGES.... Ya, i know i'm trying to think positively, but ultimately it still sux la, so wat to do? Suck thumb lor, be a good soldier and take it like a man...

I totally wish time would fly faster, maybe for the nxt 7 months... 7 more months b4 the big day!

after paying for the stuff we bought from Vivo Giant.. Approx. 15min later.....

Another ultimate thing that happened this week... Wasted $1 on buying milk seperately... Althou its nt much la, but it was still quite stupid leh.. And i seriously still cant imagine that i did that....














Anyway, i must start to live healthily already... Suddenly got a few deaths in the army, makes me feel like i am really putting my life on the line... But ya, at least there was no IPPT today... And ya, more Guitar Hero ahead in bunk!

Sigh... Blogging seems to be a weekly chore now... Dun even feel like typing today, my whole body is aching and i cant focus... Been overworking my body both physically and mentally thru this past week.. I'm juz glad its over... Too much work and too little time can really drain u off.. I need a holiday, seriously....

Oh ya, i'm broke.. Which makes things easier... Coz all i hav to rmb is that the pocket is empty, i cant go out to spend money.. And life is so much easier, nt that its more enjoyable... And i tot i was going to change my policy in the way i spend money, guess i was wrong...

Totally too lazy to carry on typing le, so those out there, pls be understanding on why i am nt replying emails or sending letters, i am totally shag le...

Lolz, guess y i am doing this.. I'm updating my blog somewhere else other than at my comfortable home coz SOMEONE said that i haven been updating it for ages... Oh well, i dun even know wat to type la, so lets juz review last few weeks ba...

To say the truth, one thing that i seriously am missing out on is worship prac and playing in the worship team itself!! Darn, last few weeks hav been full of army stuff to do... Got guard duty, got ops, and more guard duty... I think my skills like totally rusty le, now can only play air bass to get some practice, otherwise i am going to miss out on too much.. And Gab's back somemore la, can't wait to play alongside him! =)

Well, last week was my block leave.. Sad to say, i nv tell anyone.. So its like evryone went out to watch movie and play, then nv jio me out... Damn sad la, in the end hav to go watch Made Of Honour with my NS buddy... Nt that its sad coz i hav to watch with him (althou ya la, quite sad.. this kind of movie shld watch with a chio bu at my side instead of a guy..) but its more towards the fact that i tot the whole week evryone busy doing smth else... But i spent the week reading at starbucks, finishing the series of book that the author of 5 pple u meet in heaven wrote, including the one that sam recommended.. Duno la, its becoming a hobby, sitting down in starbucks with a cuppa mocha frap and a book for a few hours, juz chilling, relaxing, wasting time...

Oh ya, that reminds me.. I met Chengxin at starbucks during my block leave (apparantly doing wat i said above..). Then had some time to catch up 4 Pastor came along and joined in.. Then there was a talk abt some jap restaurant at Raffles City which offers coffee, dessert, and some other stuff for only 5 bucks! Must go there someday... Anyone who knows the place and wanna go with me? Then at least i wun feel like a total stranger..=P

Well, one week block leave is over, which means its back to camp and doing guard duties... Cant wait for ORD sia... I met Alex in the canteen today, and we kinda caught up a little.. Seemed like he nv changed at all, nt like me, size keep on changing (increasing is the correct word..) Then kinda told him to come back Agape la, coz its ages since i last saw him... Duno whether will see him this sunday anot....

Well, this was quite unexpected, having so much crap to talk abt.. Maybe nxt time wun be so long la, so stay tuned! =)

Sigh... Damn tired... Fort Siloso was no fun at all la... All the stairs, with that outrageously hot weather equates to sweaty and sticky me... Air con rooms are few, fans are rare... And the history of s'pore, althou its s'pose to be interesting, is a bloody waste of time, energy and money today... Sigh, wateva la, its nt impt anyway...

More impt news... I bought a PSP! 2nd hand la, frm my fren... $260 nt too bad a deal ya? Mod, got memory stick, UMDs, updated, even got games.. Only lacked a charger only, which i already bought today... PSP arriving tml! Cant wait... =)

Cant believe it, i actually read a book! Ok la, its nt all that unbelievable, but it was a nice book.. Its called "the 5 pple u meet in heaven".. Its nt abt heaven btw, but more towards life on earth.. U wanna know more, go read it urself.. But for wat i gained frm reading the book, i learnt that wateva u do, no matter how big or small, is going to affect someone, be it now, or in the future.. Wat u say, do, and basically how u conduct ur evryday life, will affect someone, one way or another... So choose your steps wisely, and dun regret..

Another book i read is "tuesdays with morrie"... It was a book with a totally different concept of life... Read it, i learnt alot frm it... Duno how to type all that i found interesting out la, but basically its a nice book to sit down with a cuppa coffee and read (that's wat i did!)..

So simin, if u are reading this, i finished the books! I need the rest of the series!! =P

Hey all, its been long since i typed... Wasn't really in the mood to do it either, but its better than having nth to do...

Watched 3 movies within the time span of a week, Iron Man, Doomsday, and the Vegas movie... Hav to say that all 3 are enjoyable, either the movie, or the company during the movie... Fav was that vegas movie, althou it was watched alone today... Its funny! Thats the main point, and the fact that there was a crowd watching it with me, so i dun look like an ass laughing all by myself... That movie is a must watch man, and i dun mind watching it again...

Sigh, feel so out of place back here in the centre of the globe, on the darn equator... And yes, its super hot!! I'm sweating like everywhere and anywhere i go la!! Darn the weather, it juz cant get any better than this...

Yes, dudes and dudettes!! The time you hav all been waiting for!! I am back!!! Darn, it has been too long since i touched this blog, dun even know where to begin with la.. There is like a whole month of stuff to tell over here...

Anyways, juz to make u guys feel happy abt my return, i bought u things!!! Nt evryone la, i dun hav that much cash to spend, but i will try to giv a little something to all... At the most share rite? =P
Bought like so much stuff to eat sia, nt forgetting the usual tie dan, and the tai yang bings... So ya, cya all quite soon enough, so i can clear my room of all these thingys...

And no way am i going to type a whole month of experience out here, i think my fingers will die trying.. So i leave it up to my mouth to do the job la... If interested, pls look for me for more info... =)

Let me share this seriously rare occurance that happened yesterday... I read a book!!!!! Miraculous? Indeed... Ok la, juz happened that i had nth to do, JP lent me some book called the rebirth of music, i was at vivo skypark, and had a cup of mocha frap frm starbucks... So wat better to do than to sit down and enjoy a book? Kinda even finished the book (coz got only 12 chpts, and each chpt takes arnd 15min to read?), and the coffee as well, but its refreshing to be able to sit at the skypark to read, with the wind blowing in the air... Maybe i shld do that more often....


Anyway, abt the book... Found it very interesting, as it brought to me alot of new concepts that i didnt really notice when i read the B-I-B-L-E.... Apparantly God loves loud music, new stuff ya? I tot i was the only one who liked music loud, but seems like someone shares my taste... And there was a very interesting reminder on how worship is impt in a service.. Smth abt it nt being an ice breaker, or some warm up b4 u sit down and listen to the sermon... Worship itself is praising God, and also allows u to soften ur heart and accept the sermon better? At least thats wat i think i read, so maybe i'll read again to confirm it... But its a really cool book, with a few "this is darn cool" sub headings... I rmb one is the exorcism with a guitar... Imagine, a guitar... But it actually referred to David using the harp to play songs, so its nt really a guitar... But i still cant shake the thought, a guitar.... Recommended read to all in the worship team, and also to those who wants to know more abt it... Cool book...

Woo! Survivor rox! Or, at least i enjoyed being a sadist la... Can't imagine i agreed to the idea of playing with worms, but ya, it was juz short of eating those creepy crawlies... Congrats on the winning team, duno wat is the actual name already, but only hav a vague idea of them being called "笨蛋"?? Duno la, juz know that its chengxin's grp...
And thnx to all the station masters (me included..) as well as the committee members for making this day successful, i had alot of fun watching pple hav fun! Many thnx to Jinghui and Sihan for buying the worms (so u guys know who actually bought them, not me ok?).... And the lunch was fantastic! Thnx to the team who prepared it! Duno who are all the pple, but kinda rmb got Shuqi, Liyun and Thomas + ( )... Fill in the blanks yourselves if u helped out...

Woo, lots happened in 2 days... Let me juz sum it up so that its readable...

Gd news: I finally passed my IPPT! Ok, i know its like so long le, and i shld hav passed it so long ago.. But hey, that 2.4km seems juz a little too far ya? Somehow or other, i managed to finish it within 12min 11sec, while clearing all the other stations... Yes, the other stations.. Its unbelievable, i understand... How was i able to do chin ups, jump SBJ, and run 2.4 with my current physical weight? I duno, it juz happened...Thats all that matters..


I got some invitation to join SAFSA dragonboat team for some competition... Suddenly got that itchy kind of feeling to accept it and hav the taste of rowing the boat at full adrenaline again... Too bad, wrong timing... Hav to be away at taiwan during that time... So no choice la, hav to reject the offer... Plus i dun feel right accepting it, and participating with all the fit guys with tan lines and bulging biceps, while all i hav is a bulging belly... At least i wun lose face if i dun go, totally lost touch with boating le...


And my current worry: To get someone to cover my spot in the worship team while i am having "fun" overseas fora whole month.. Any interested volunteers? Price is negotiable, ranging from US$0 to S$0...

Shiok ah! At least the first day of my "weekend" is nt wasted sia!! Hahaz, kinda went out to spend money la, but its worth the time and money.. Didnt get to relax so much for a long time le..

Firstly, let me tell u a secret.. Juz as a Shinigami in Death Note loves apples, do u know that the Lochness Monster loves potatoes? Well, i made that amazing discovery today while watching Waterhorse with simin, that movie abt the Lochness Monster la... Couldnt say its a bad movie, but nt exactly that wonderful either.. Maybe coz i didnt hav that much of an expectation for it la... But overall quite a nice movie, with a few interesting parts to the movie.
Interesting Part 1: Bulldog vs Baby Lochness. The bulldog in the movie chases the baby lochness, and there was a moment of matrix where the dog and the lochness slow mo in the action...
Interesting Part 2: The face of the fisher when he saw the Lochness monster. That face was worth a million bucks...
Interesting Part 3: The Lochness Monster actually burps!! It burps a few times in the movie actually, and the first one was probably after eating a rubbish bin full of junk..

After watching the movie, i let simin go (seems like i held her captive for the whole afternoon lolz..), then went to meet michelle and her cousin to eat veggie food.. Rare right? Some carnivore eating veggie? At least i think its a rare sight la, i only ate veggie food on less than 5 occasions.. But i hav to say that it taste alright la, at least its nt those tasteless, soft and watery kind of veggie, nor was it those too spicy, salty, or sweet kind of food... It kinda tasted like everyday meals, maybe even better, considering where i eat my everyday meal...


Cant wait for tml, maybe more things will happen.. =)

Ahh... It feels weird to be typing here on a monday night... Somehow i managed to take 2 days off, and compensate for my loss of weekend.. Actually, i already kena arrowed to do smth on both tues and wednesday, but bcoz of a certain lucky star, i got permission to meet that lucky star on wednesday! U know who u are, and if u reading now, thnx for the "luck"!

Darn, i feel so impt now.. Ask all who are reading this random post, hav u ever watched the National Day Parade? Ever wondered where they trained? Or to be more specific, on what did they practice their moves, the whole performance, etc.? Answer: A temporary stage that is set up to represent the stage on the floating platform in Marina.. Another random qn, who built it? Phua Chu Kang? Sad to say, if that was your answer, u were almost right... But hey, i was involved in the National Day Parade, in a sort of way la... I mean, without me, the stage wun hav its foundations of pillars made by layers of containers all laid there to hold up all the performers.. So here is the final random qn, which is rhetorical, who's the man?

Yes, i am back! Back to this blog to complain abt how life is pathetic, how it nv seems to get better, yet nv fails to giv me a hope for a better tml...

Yesterday was terrible... Althou it was a leap day, i rather hav skipped the day and jumped to the nxt day of the calender... It was totally a wasted day la... I dun want to bore u with the details, but all i hav to say is that the day was full of bad news on how busy i am going to be for the nxt couple of months....

Stepping over to the day i wished i jumped into, at least there are 2 comforting thoughts that i hav... Pay day in 10 days, ORD in 11 months.... Still a long way to go...

Sigh... I am bored... Y muz i always be the one that dun get to do wat i enjoy, and dun enjoy wat i do?

Sigh, wat a boring week... Spent valentines day in camp doing guard duty this week, smth new compared to the usual go out and play programmes... So interesting, hav other guards as my valentine and SFI food for my candle light dinner... Sometimes i really wonder whether i am sane or not...

Anyway, i sprained my ankle while running... And guess wat i stepped on, a small darn branch.. And the reaction frm one of my dumb commanders was like "See la, nv practice running enough, run also can fall down and sprain ankle.. Fat liao ah u!"..... I didnt know having a constant practice in the art of running can prevent me frm spraining an ankle.. And ya, dun nd to worry abt the other sentence, i am fat, life's cruel...

Watched Jumper on friday when i booked out, quite an ok show, except that other than that amazing ly cool super power of teleportation, the storyline was more or less average... But i heard that it was going to be like a triology, smth like matrix, so still got some more jumping to watch la... Go ahead, watch the movie, and make urself wish that u can teleport anywhere, anytime...

And happy 21st bday to alan! Went to his party yesterday in a rush, totally is chiong down frm my hse to bayshore la.. But at least it was worth it ba, got to catch up a little with old time frens... Who's the nxt one having a bday i wonder...

And ya, i am bored... Bored of life... Find me smth to do, or i may juz end up reading manga off the internet like i am doing now.... Someone save me...

Hmm.. Have been too lazy to blog recently, but ya... Now i finally took some time off to type in this space right here, right now... More or less bcoz i really hav nth to do ba...

Well, lets talk abt cny... I duno whether this is the end, but i think i collected enough ang baos to tell u that i massed a total of $232 this year.. Quite expected a number la, and nth too special abt it... The only issue is that me, being a big spender, this $232 wun last long....

First day of cny, went to my grandma hse to bai nian, then shun bian took family photo... Kinda like a evry year thingy le...

I only hav these 3 pics la... The rest of the photos (which includes another family, plus quan jia fu) is nt here... But wateva la rite? The most impt thing is that i am somewhere in that 3 photos..

Other than visiting some other relatives, that basically sums up the first day.. Quite boring rite? Sometimes i really hope that there can be more interesting things at times... Like maybe can hav a whole family outing to M'sia? Or since got 2 ladies fly off to Aussie le, y nt whole family go? Juz kidding la, it would be too expensive a trip to afford....

2nd day was a little more interesting... Went to xiao li shien's hse to bai nian for the first event of the day... Found out that evryone except me didnt turn up (aka PANG SEH), so only got me and yixin go bai nian... After that, went down to makan sushi at Cineleisure... A bit of confusion on why we got off at orchard mrt instead or somerset, but still ended up walking there lor... Had a really full lunch, attendance included daphne, yixin, xiao li shien, mavis, li juan, johan, kai qi, cheng yi, enz and me! Went ahead to watch 2 movies straight, Kungfu Dunk and Ah Long Pte Ltd... Both were funny, but i prefer Ah Long la, the jokes are closer to home, rather than watch Jay Chou dunk at chest level... PS: We sneaked ice cream into that cinema! Shiok la! Eat ice cream while watching movie! Cannot think of anything else more shiok lor!

After the movie, duno where to go, so ended up walking all the way to PS (Plaza Sing) to sit down and chat at TCC... Pics that we took outside tcc (ignore my idiotic look..)

Then the new year celebrations muz fast forward to sunday le, coz saturday i nv follow anyone bai nian, juz go home slp... muahahahaz...

Sunday went to Simon's hse after church for steamboat!! Pple that turned up included Simon himself, calvin, sam the bday boy, andrew the 2nd bday boy (althou its celebrated 1 month early), alvin with a camera and without chipmunks, sing heng, ah lau, chin heng, ricky, cheng xin, me, and our special guest weiting! Had a sumptuos meal that included tons of food (Pics at sam's blog, i dun hav a camera phone.. =P), and i ate till i was bloated la... Sing song cut cake for the 2 bday men, no longer boys, and ate cake.. Kinda left early coz it was getting late, so didnt stay to help clear up... Another time maybe?

That sums up wat i did recently ba.. Nt much rite? No choice la, i am a boring person... Still deciding on wat to do today...

Grandfather Happy Grandfather Happy!! (Gong Xi Gong Xi!)

Well well, didnt expect i can be typing all this today.. Com spoilt on me again, and luckily someone came to repair it today.. Otherwise i think i am going to whine and complain abt nt having a com to use all week...

Ok, first up was yesterday's news... Went to Geylang East Old Folks Home to do some charity work, coz our battalion kinda adopted the home.. In any case, charity work refers to doing area cleaning, entertaining the old folks, as well as give them some gifts for cny.. The area cleaning job was like NO KICK... C'mon, i hav seriously cleaned up some totally hopeless bunks and offices b4... Wat's an old folks home? Even their toilet was quite clean frm the start.. So i guess we kinda did as thorough a job as we can, and that was it... Entertaining the old folks was the wierd part.. I kinda had the feeling that we were entertaining ourselves... I mean, the programme was more or less like we singing songs for them as well as give out prizes... But it ended off being all of us singing and shouting and getting high ourselves, while the elderly sit in their chairs and clap.. And some of those who screeched into the mike, lets juz say that noise was produced at times...

After old folks, came the buffet meal at tampines safra's sakura... definitely shiok, especially with all the nice food like nuggets, otah, fried rice, sharks fin, tempura, sushi, cakes, ice cream, jelly, prawns, crabs, the list goes on forever la... So u got the point, it was a fabulous meal.. Sad to say i didnt really had a gd appetite that day, so didnt eat much for lunch.. Such as waste...

Skip to dinner then... Met simin and kania for dinner and movie in the evening, and we ate at that juz acia place where sam brought me last time... Think i shld start going on a diet sia.. Eating 2 gd meals a day is certainily nt helping me bring down my weight.. Confession, i ate too much ice cream in a day le... So much that i 4got how many scoops le..

Lastly, went to watch that musical movie, Sweeny Todd... Darn, it was a nice musical.. But all that blood spilling and the sick ideas is totally a turn off, especially if ur stomach is nt strong enough to hold down dinner.. And while watching the movie, there was this disgusting stench frm somewhere arnd the theatre, apparently produced by someone's shoes... That did not make that movie more enjoyable then i shld hav been.... But still, the movie is a recommended watch, maybe without a certain Mr or Ms stinky shoes...

Oh ya, Happy Belated Birthday to LiYun!! Totally 4got to wish u yesterday... =P

My Wonderful Week

Well, wat a wonderful week it has been.. I hav been so busy, i didnt even think abt wat i wanted to put up until yesterday... Last week was a killer sia, luckily nxt week is cny week, got a week to rest up and prepare to endure another period of my NS life..

Major highlight of this week was the incoming of the new CO... The focus wasnt really on him la, it was on doing wat we do best to impress him... That previous sentence shld be used on all commanders, and nt the men, who kinda just did ALL THE WORK... I mean, do the CSM's think its really that simple to clean off years of mud off the mud guard of a tonner (SAF truck)? At least, that was my impression, seeing that all he did was told us to wash it, without even giving us advice on how to do it, how well it shld be.. Got scolded in the end for nt being able to wash it up clean enough, and had to do it another time... This time our PC (platoon commander, not personal computer) decided that we needed some professional help, and stepped into the action.. The nxt phase of cleaning went much better, with all of us scrubbing the dumb tonner with brooms, splashing water at it using jerry cans, and using oil to clean and darken the tyres.. There was even a joke that our CSM might juz go drifting on the tonner after we oiled the wheels..

Sad fact? The tonner has 5 wheels, one spare at the side that no one took notice of.. However, it was noticed on the actual day's morning itself... So what will u do if u spot it? Of coz u get your men to do the job rite? Its too tiring for the old man to do it, so he kinda juz gave the orders, and the suay kia, LCP Lim Wei En Benjamin, juz hav to kena the ultimate job of blackening the spare tyre.. Equipped with kiwi and brush, the poor LCP spent nearly an hour in the sweltering hot sun, emptying the kiwi can to blacken that darn tyre... How could we stand such things? We are soldiers for goodness sake, not odd job labourers... Well, that can of kiwi was only enough for half the tyre, and only half the tyre is exposed, so who cares abt the other unseen half?? I seriously want to see the look on the pple in transport hub when we return the vehicle.. Frm some muddy pile of scrap metal to some brand new Man truck, we could hav won the extreme makeover vehicle edition...

At least the day ended with a sumptious dinner that included curry crab, laksa, fried kway teow, and free flow of beer with sexy gals to go along... So cannot say we chiong so hard for nth la, at least got some seriously nice tasting curry crab... But somehow this was one week.. The rest of the week was spent doing other utter rubbish that makes me wonder why...

Well, i decided to include a quote of the day, coz i saw it somewhere and i juz couldnt shake that quote away frm my mind... Its dumb, dirty but quite true.. It goes like this: "If u think sex is a pain in the butt, u may be doing it wrongly.." =P

Hav your heart ever felt so heavy, its suffocating? Like a burden within you, dragging you down, making you feel breathless.. Well, i suppose thats the way reality is.. Cruel, yet kind at times. Sweet, yet it cuts like a knife..

Well, today is sunday.. Church day as well as book in day... Sad to say, i kinda feel a little pang seh today... No one to talk to after service, no one to be with... Everyone are more or less in their own little grps, and somehow the exit looks more inviting today.. I nv felt like booking in so much before, at least there is someone to talk to, to laugh with, to listen to....

Went to shop for new year groceries with my family at NTUC, and guess who we saw? Michelle Chia as well as Tay Ping Hui, apparantly filming some TV show... Comments frm my mum includes tay ping hui being more skinny than he looks on TV.. maybe its time to get a smaller screen.. And Michelle Chia didnt look as tall as i tot... She is kinda 5cm shorter than me (with high heels included)...

Well, hot topic of the day.. God's grace is sufficient for me... Ignore the fact that i feel all alone in this world of pain and suffering.. God juz reminded me of how graceful He is in wateva i do, He still has blessings in store for me... Despite being a little short on cash recently, my dear Father in Heaven has been providing.. Look back on previous post, one of it shows the splurging of cash on contact lens... Now? I hav nth to say but believe that its a small sign that He still cares... Went to collect my lenses today, since i had nth to do.. And guess wat? I got an extra pair of lens free! So if my calculations are correct, i currently hav 6 pairs of lens to wear instead of 5.. And thats nt all... I got a letter frm the government, and thank God, singapore is getting richer... The govt kinda juz donated a hundred bucks to me, giving some excuse of the inflation of GST charges.. Who cares, the main point is the fact that i got another hundred.. That kinda nt juz cancel off the contact lens overspending, but also gives me a little extra credit to spend on some new year clothes.. Well, nt being greedy, but i hope for more to come! Amen!

Hmm... I think i am juz that bit addicted to watching movies alone le.. Last time i wun even watch a movie even thou i really wanted to, if no one watches with me... Now? Heck care la, juz watch alone lor... Guess army really changes someone's mindset... Being alone feels like such a normal thing now...

Well, enough said. Movie of the week, "Trade"... It is exclusive at GV vivo only, and i really wanted to find out why my fren keep on nagging abt wanting to watch that show.. Trade somehow is a show that portrays the dark side of america's sex trade... How the sex slaves are smuggled frm mexico, poland, and all parts of the world to america... Its M18 btw, althou there are no sex scenes... At least, no sex scenes that flashes any inappropriate parts... The only parts that are flashed blatantly are the cheeks of the posterior, or which most pple refer to as butt....

I found it a nice movie, especially the fact that it is nt so simple as showing the sex trade.. The story is shown frm the point of a mexican family, in which a bro and sis combo are very close.. Sis gets caught by sex traders and bro tries to find her... Met with a few difficulties on the way, plus shows how sis also gets some help frm the other sex slaves, and is able to survive.. Then the ending is the only expected one, the happily ever part... But overall, the plot was wonderful.. Despite the seriousness of the whole story abt the illegal sex trade, there are touches of humour here and there, and the bits and pieces of emo parts, this show is really worth watching sia... Definitely a recommendation for those out there that wants to watch it....

And lastly, i paid 10 bucks on a friday afternoon to watch that show!!! Darn that Cinema Europia, or however u spell it... Its my first time there, and i was kinda disappointed... Ok, there are new chairs and all, but the table is irritating and seriously out of place, plus the air con is slightly warm.. The only positive thingy abt that cinema is that the screen is comparatively new, so there are nt many of those irritating black dots and lines that appear in old cinema screens... Sigh, no complaints la, juz feel that such a cinema shld be better equipped to suit the likings of GV freqents like me... =P

Long Weekend..

Sigh... Duno whether to be happy or sad lor.. Juz feel that i kinda wasted this 1 day off doing almost nth, getting almost no benefit, and even a little overspending..

Kinda started the day by going to the usual optics shop in city hall to get a new set of contacts... Somehow the price jacked up, and i juz agreed on buying without asking for the price.. I mean, i am a regular customer sia, and this is totally too much... $160 for 5 pairs of contact lens?!?!?! Guess i wun be going out for quite a while ya? No money to spend le...

Quite disappointed with myself over that $160... My sweetest mum (who happens to be my only mum too..) gave me a hundred bucks to spend on new year clothes... I know this doesnt sound alot, with the fact that a pair of jeans frm Levi's can cost more than that, but hey, this is actually the first time in 20 years that she ever gave me any money to buy new year stuff... I will welcome the change any day... Sadly, my new year resolution in saving money went up in smoke la... Totally evaporated with that swipe of a card, and tada, $160 gone... Nt to mention i still nd to buy solution for the lens...

Ltr, went to watch Cloverfield.. Didnt actually want to go watch one, but since i was waiting for my frens, and the meeting time was supposedly 3 hrs later, no harm watching a 1.5 hr movie, rite? Totally wrong... Wasted another 8 bucks on a movie nt worth watching... Seriously, if someone decides to make a movie using a video cam, i hope they watch cloverfield first and think again... Oh man, that 8 bucks can totally be used on something more useful...

After the movie, went to suntec for that JobDB thingy at lvl4... Nt to look for a job.. My fren juz happen to be working there... Well, it was juz 5pm... And guess wat? Knock off timing was 8... So i spent the rest of the time, 2 hr plus, sitting at a staircase outside suntec exhibition hall 04-04, reading You Best Life Now... And i daresay, this was one of the most constructive thing i did today....

Went for dinner with kania and simin at KFC later, and also treated them to anderson's... 10% off ice cream for anderson's for all SAFRA card users, so might as well take full advantage of it while it lasts... Ironic isn't it, someone who is complaining abt poverty crisis is treating his frens anderson's ice cream? Anderson's somemore leh, nt some average ice cream.. But somehow i hav this feeling that its better to give then to recieve la...

Had been thinking of a phrase in that book ever since i first started reading it.. If i dun experience a miracle today, it juz means that i am one day closer to experiencing a miracle... That sounds way too cool, but i juz wonder if i can always stay so positive to look at life this way.. Well, that book says to expect God's favour.. So i think i will try that method, since it sounds the most reliable... No other choice is there? When u are pushed to a corner, anything goes... Well, may God bless me with favour, as well as anyone reading this.. Juz rmb to share a little bit of your favour ya? =P

Today was the test for that forklift course.. Sadly, i wun know whether pass or fail until 4 days later... But kinda expecting a pass la... I mean, if u did the test and nth goes wrong, nth will go wrong right? At least thats wat i am hoping la...


Took a run juz now downstairs, wearing that red DB jersey of so long ago... Kinda reminded me of the times i had training with the boaters... Missed those trainings big time... All the hard work, encouragement, laughter, anger, victory and defeat.. Lots of emotions all rolled into one sport... So for those pple out there, dragonboating is nt some dumb sport that juz nd u to push the boat forward only, its way more... Well, all those sweat that i soaked up in the jersey during the run totally reminded me of the kallang days... I so wish i can re-live those days again some day... Juz another day of shouting encouragement to each other on the boat, while we row forward as a team...
Well, thats all past....

Shiok sia, this is the kind of life i am talking abt... Nt too hectic, nt too boring, juz nice for me.. I got some forklift course that the army sent me on, and its a stay out course! That means i muz start finding pple to accompany me on wednesday as well as thursday afternoon onwards (tuesday is booked..)..


Went to watch Le Grand Chef on sunday with teresa.. It was a very nice movie, definitely a recommendation to watch.. There is humour, tears, as well as lots of food to drool on! Ok, i didnt cry, but the person on my left did.. Made me feel so emotionless, like i am some cold blooded homo sapien that doesnt care abt a cow (watch the movie, u will know wat i am talking abt..)... After sending teresa home, i had some time to sit in the MRT to read the book samuel finally lent me, The Best Life Now. Ok, i know i am quite outdated, coz that book has been read by alot others like... very long ago? So as to nt spoil the mood of reading that book, plz refrain frm giving any info abt it ya?


Ok, back to topic.. I was reading thru the trip frm Pasir Ris to Aljunied, and i finished the first chapter.. Quite surprised i even took the book in the first place, let alone read it.. Those pple who know me well enough knows that books and me hav quite a bleak history.. But i kinda loved that last part of chapter 1...
It reads "Years ago, a famous golfer was invited by the king of Saudi Arabia to play in a golf tournament. He accepted the invitation, and the king flew his private jet over to the United States to pick up the pro. They played golf for several days, and enjoyed a good time. As the golfer was getting on the plane to return to the United States, the king stopped him and said, 'I want to give you a gift for coming all this way and making this time so special. Anything you want. What could I get you?'
Ever the gentleman, the golfer replied, 'Oh, please; don't get me anything. You've been a gracious host. I've had a wonderful time. I couldn't ask for anything more.'
The king was adamant. He said, "No, I insist on giving you something so you will always remember your journey to our country.'
When the golfer realised that the king was resolute, he said, 'Okay, fine. I collect golf clubs. Why don't you give me a golf club?'

Cool? Well, i tot it was.. That certainly shows how kings really hav a totally different way of doing things.. No eyes can see, nor mind can ever imagine, what will the king of heaven will do too... But i dun mind a golf course of my own...


Well, i woke up today at 5.30am... Went to learn how to drive a forklift at PSA Vista, Harbourfront Drive... It was an interesting experience.. I mean, how often do u use your right hand on the "gears", left hand to steer the vehicle alone, left leg to brake, change gear at where u normally turn on the turning signals, and drive a vehicle that has its back wheels as the turning wheel instead of the front ones... Kinda went well though, had been thru military driving class 3 and 4 leh, wat's a forklift man?


Then went to vivo after that to makan, and window shopped arnd with a bunch of army guys.. Made alot of noise, had those store attendants staring at us, the typical guy outing... Lastly, b4 going home, caught sight of an interesting quote in River Island. It says "Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticise them, you are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes."

There is this one guy that said a sentence that made me think for quite a while recently.. He said, "When u are wearing green, nothing is fair."... Of coz, this happened to be quoted from my CSM, aka Ah Gong... And apparently other than this sentence, nothing else he said went into my brain and stayed there... Nothing except this... Kinda made me think, do i really hav to suck thumb and be like Nike to go thru this 1 year plus left? Its like telling us we are literally given no choice but to do wat we are supposed to do...


Anyway, this week was another havoc week, with half the number of pple on course, leaving the other half to slog out the pile of work that was left for us to do... So it was basically juz typing, printing, photocopying, shredding, and the cycle repeats... At least it felt gd, like that kind of sense of satisfaction that u finished those dumb office work... Wonder wat the other half of the lot will do nxt week when its my turn to go on course... Slack? Or sign that magical book?


I really need some decent slp too... Hav been staying up too many nights, and the guard duty is nt helping to reduce that... So if i seem disorientated, or drool in the bus with my eyes closed like i did juz now, pls wake me up, before september comes....

Facing the Giants

There was a special sneak preview in our church for a movie that was produced almost a year ago, but never made it to singapore.. It is a movie called Facing the Giants, or something like that.. Thought it was an excellent, and very meaningful movie.. Highly recommended to those who play competitive sports, it really reminded me of my good old days in dragonboat, as well as that tedious 24km route march back in tekong days...


What it's about: The movie is basically abt some skl rigby team getting their butts kicked coz they really hav no motivation and hav potential that hav yet to be discovered.. Then their coach was abt to get the sack, coz he nv win anything for 6 years in a row. So that coach decided to giv God the steering wheel, let him take over, and somehow, the rugby team manage to win some top league team against all odds...


What i like abt it: Its nt like a very churchy movie, althou it kinda contained quite alot of Godly stuff.. It is more like a movie that mixes religion with a little bit of humour, and that happy ending that everyone loves.. Shows that with God, nothing is impossible..


Funny parts of that movie: (1)Assistant coach using bible verses to "teach" a kicker how to get that rugby ball through the goal posts.. Incredibly funny!! (2)Coach and wife combo at wife's florist shop.. The conversation put up was a dumb one, but nonetheless does the job of tickling me.. (3)That winning goal.. How the wind kinda juz changed direction after a prayer.. Dun think its supposed to be funny, coz its supposed to show how powerful God is, even until a point he can change the direction of the wind.. But the very fact that it changed, then that kicker (the one from the previous funny scene no.1), kicked that ball across half the field, falling down in the process, was funny yo me... (4)Last part of the movie, where wife tells coach she's pregnant.. Then he kinda cried... Was expecting him to be happy or at least overjoyed? In the end, he said he was overwhelmed, and cried....


Ok, enough of the movie.. Moving on to after movie topics... Around an hour ago, b4 this post was out, i was out shopping at NTUC with my parents... Shopped around, and saw something i liked, so i go take it, go counter to pay for it... I was standing in the queue, next one in line, when an Auntie+Uncle combo stepped up.. Said the Uncle in chinese: "See, no one here wat.. Queue here la.." And the duo effectively cut into my path, jumping the queue.. I am nt really mad abt losers who cant wait in the queue for their turn, but ignoring my prescence was seriously unforgivable.. Damn the size that i am at... Damn that 90kg mass of mine.. My mum has seriously been wasting money feeding me for the past 19 years.. C'mon, i am like some darn wall of fats la! And they juz pretended that no one was there... Singaporeans nowadays..(refering to that pair only, the rest of the country is spared)

Ahh, it has been a gd 2 days of booking in camp back again, with so much to say... Let me start it of with saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY! To both YiLe and PingWu, may your wishes come true! And speaking of which, i hope u like the present! (to pingwu..) Apparently, i got the same bag as him, juz that its a different colour. His is white, while mine is "shit" green.. No pics for u to enjoy, so juz visualise.. Or u can jio me out, then i can bring my bag along.. =P

Today, while still in camp at company line, i kinda did one of the most satisfying thing that i did for this year (this year hasn't really started much ya?).. I actually helped out to clean out that rubbish dump of an office! Gosh, can't believe how much crap was stored in those drawers.. It was so much, the shredder machine got stuck so many times, and we hav to keep on changing the trash bag in it.. The papers juz keep on appearing, and they are like so nt related to wat we do now... But anyway, we cleared up the whole office, re-arranged it, added 2 new cupboards, threw away 2 old cupboards as well as a shelve, and got all the papers into files.. We even did some area cleaning, clearing all those dust arnd the area and making the place look neater.. That was some big work la! We had like 18 bags of trash to throw away.. Imagine, 18 bags of trash that was stored over the years, how dumb.. And we are the batch that has to do that certain area cleaning... But it was seriously a wonderful sense of achievement when it was done...

After bookout today, rushed to church for prayer meeting... Fell asleep on that bus 33, and lucky enough to wake up juz 1 stop b4 the one i am supposed to alight.. And ya, i still haven eat dinner... So thru the whole meeting was like nua nua already, no strength to continue on... And i was kinda sick plus sleepy also, such a dangerous combi.. Thank God i pulled thru, nv KO halfway thru.. Even got "sabo-ed" by a last minute song.. Althou we still played thru it (thanks to samuel and me combo again), it was terrifying la.. Like that SBC Christmas thingy repeated itself... Well, at least i am home now.. Time to recuperate and prepare for a busy week ahead.. And its high time i stop typing and find something to eat...

Happy 2008 to all! New year has come, its time to start feeling a little older... Can't imagine i am posting this at home, juz minutes after the new year.. Shld be outside with the crowd, cheering in the new year.. But wat to do? Juz dun feel like going out this time round.. No mood to do that today.. Oh well, its the crowd's loss...
